KUALA LUMPUR: Umno is in the process of selling off more of its holdings in several companies, said its secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

However, he declined to divulge more information saying that the matter came under the jurisdiction of the party’s finance, assets and investments committee chaired by Umno treasurer Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

“Yes, there are efforts along this line with the shares to be sold to certain bidders. There will be full compliance to requirements by the Securities Commission,” he told reporters at the Parliament lobby today.

Prior to this, the party was reported to have sold 11.09% of its stake in Media Prima Bhd apart from disposing off 31.6% of its shares in Utusan Melayu (M) Berhad. — Bernama
